“One Word Substitution” as the phrase indicates itself are the words that replace group of words or a full sentence effectively. In English language there are a lots of single words for a group of words that can be used effectively to make the writing to the point that too without losing the meaning of the context.
विद्यार्थी ‘अनेक शब्दों के लिये प्रयुक्त एक शब्द’ (One Word for Many Words) का ध्यानपूर्वक अध्ययन करें। परीक्षा में आपके शब्दार्थ – ज्ञान की जानकारी के लिए इस प्रकार का प्रश्न पूछा जा सकता है। प्रश्न का प्रारूप इस प्रकार हो सकता है –

उत्तर के लिये पहले इन शब्द – समूहों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें , इनका अर्थ समझें और फिर इनके लिये प्रयुक्त शब्द को लिखें-
Ans. 1. वह जो पढ़ाते हैं – Teacher
2. वह स्थान जहाँ पशु – पक्षी रखे जाते हैं – Zoo
3. वह व्यक्ति जो अपने देश को प्यार करता है – Patriot
